Obviously, May hasn’t been such a hot month in the posting department. However, I’m happy to announce the end of my first year teaching and the exciting news that I’ll be getting my own classroom next year... no more traveling science teacher for me folks! I’ll be doing those gloriously messy projects in one place and one place only next year - and that place will by my own =) Of course, the news has ushered in a lot of planning and research which is precisely what I’ve spent my would-be blog time doing over the past month. The planning will definitely continue, but with my new found summer freedom I have officially initiated... project: finish-what-you-started.
This project includes a fun list with things like sewing projects that have been waiting around for months (By the way, here are my latest attempts. And no. There is no bambino in sight for the Mc fam quite yet - though I can say that whenever that time happens to roll around a girl would be just fabulous...look fun they are to sew for!) I made these for a friend who’s expecting her first in July...
{tulle looks all sweet and precious, but I warn you, this stuff is mean as a snake when it gets near a needle}
{this one was much easier... I may be making more like this actually. I think I found a way to make it reversible. Anyway, these two kickstarted my sewing motivation}
But back to the point... in addition to fun list, there is also a not-so-fun list, and today #1 on that list is the inglorious task of painting our good ol’ apartment back to it’s original beige. Oh yea. So I’m putting down my mac and picking up a roller. Remind me why I decided to paint our apartment again please...
