Great news! All inspection details have been resolved and we are all set. . . just waiting for the key. Of course there are things to do in the in-between like organizing all the numbers on your spreadsheet, rounding up tools for all the home improvements you're planning, start figuring out where furniture should go, and choosing paint colors. No matter how fun all the planning is, the waiting is the hardest.
No matter, with our full patience in practice, we have been planning and strategizing what will happen between closing and move-in, and trust me, there is a lot in between. We are renovating the kitchen, part of which will involve removing part of the counter/cabinets, moving the sink, and dishwasher, and breaking up the tile. This all must be done before we can begin laying the the new flooring that will be throughout the entire downstairs. And did I mention that before that can be done, we have pull up all the carpet. Most of the heavy lifting I just mentioned will be done during J's spring break. My week includes painting walls and trim, refinishing the kitchen cabinets, refinishing light fixtures, and installing closet organizers in the master. . . I just can't wait to get started!
