long time coming

You know way back when... in the days of the sunburst mirror project that I had begun? Well tonight, it is all coming to an end. And please do not let my timetable on this one deceive - it is by far one of the cheapest (about $5), easiest projects I’ve ever attempted. Last minute details on the house have been keeping us busy lately. Well, come rain, wind, and a tornado warning (true story) it couldn’t stop me from finishing this tonight! Pictures right now can’t really do it justice, but in the morning, it will be posted straight away. This is one my favorites that I’ve made in a while - I highly recommend you try this one before you throw away that cereal box!

{If you want to make one of your own you can find the tutorial here}

These are a few of the changes that I made to the instructions online and liked my end result better them:

:: Instead of the 10 mirror that was recommended I used a 5 inch fella - less expensive, and easier to work with.

:: I cut my pieces of cardboard a bit wider and shorter because...

:: I chose to not spray paint mine and instead, chose cereal boxes with colors that I liked and let prints add to the charm. If you decided to do the same, just make sure that the colored part of the box is on the inside part when you turn your cardboard strips into loops, otherwise, the colored sides will end up glued together.

PS. We wrap up our landform sculptures at school tomorrow... Can’t wait to show off our final products!

PPS. We get keys in 5 DAYS.
