TMI (a new favorite)

This end-of-week/weekend has absolutely one of the best... unfortunately it’s kept me away from updating here, but was well worth it. I attended a conference for professional development on Thursday-Friday at PDS. It was put on by The Martin Institute and if you haven’t had a chance to check them out (and are in education), then prepare to be totally pumped! I first heard about them when we had residents from the program come to new hope for some field experience. I was curious about the program then, and when I found out that there the opportunity for professional development through TMI I was totally pumped. In spite of my way-high expectations, I have to say that it was some of the most practical, inspiring, and encouraging teaching I’ve ever sat in on. I’m planning on attending their summer conference too - and the fact that it’s all local makes it even better. They are certainly worth checking out.

There is also rumor that this guy will be at The Martin Institute sumer conference... If these rumors are true then I’m certainly there!

PS. JUST because I haven’t been posting about the house doesn’t we haven’t been working on it! We completely scored some amazing deals this weekend on some gorgeous things for our new home (and you won’t even believe me when I tell you where they came from). =)
