Today is a big day. Our old counter top is now camping out on the back patio, never to return again because... (drum roll)... today our cabinets are getting a new one! Well, sort of. They’re actually just getting measured for a new one today, but I’m crazy excited to get this part started. For company we used (Granite Dealers LLC - in downtown-ish Memphis) we needed to draw up a rough draft of our counter dimensions and fax it to them before they could come out to our place to measure. PS. Did we mention that after going to look at actual slabs of granite we totally changed our minds about what we wanted and decided to go with a slab called “kashmir white”... it’s a little more marbled, a little less Dalmatian-like, and quite a bit lighter in all-over color.
