project: dry-erase board {UPDATE}

This is how it looked at first, remember?
{I used scrapbook paper for the background... unfortunately, even the largest size of paper was about 1 inch short on just one side = a little disappointing. So I trimmed it down to fit the mat. Also disappointing, but I decided that it was better looking than an actual dry-erase board and decided to call it a day. Well after staring at it for a day or two I resolved that it just wouldn’t do.}

 So I did this:
{How in the world did I find paper large enough to fit the whole frame? This my friends, is no paper... it’s fabric. That’s right! Just a leftover scrap given a pretty lovely purpose.}

Also, I’m loving this pattern approximately 73 times more than the original paper one...

Success.
