Yesterday morning I said goodbye to the ocean, packed my bags, and left that beautiful beach. But you know what, I could not be more excited to be home. Though I probably could stay at the beach all summer long, I had my fill - not the same without Jason.
Also, I have to admit that I've already begun to anticipate fall. . . I've taken up this new affinity for plaid shirts, and my love for scarfs and boots has returned. A little premature, I know. I blame it on retailers. Have you seen Hobby Lobby recently!? Well, clothing stores are not much better! When I went shopping at the AMAZING outlets this past week, I was repeatedly met by suede boots, long sleeved cable knits, and cozy scarfs. This is ridiculous though. It's still summer, and no more talk of fall for now.
On a different note, last night Jason and I decided to celebrate my return by going to see Up at the two-dollar re-run. Oh. My. I cried and cried and cried! Have you seen it?! It's absolutely the saddest, most precious and touching animated movie I've ever seen. I used to never cry in movies (well. . . I may have held back a tear or two when I first saw The Notebook), but since I met Jason I cry in movies all the time - I even cry at the happy parts! Still, I think Up could reduce even Dr. Spock to tears! As wonderful as I thought the movie was, do you know what I liked just as much?
This!!! The animated short: "Partly Cloudy"

If you love it even slightly, you will adore the movie! Pixar is, in my opinion, just fabulous and keep out-doing themselves!!!
